In the Kingiseppsky District of the Leningrad Region, where the company ‘Neorecycling’ operates, there are many historical heritage sites, including a unique Orthodox church – St. Nicholas Church on Soikina Mountain.
The church, originally wooden, was rebuilt several times over the years and by the beginning of the 20th century had become a brick church covered with iron sheets painted white.
Shortly after the establishment of Soviet power, the church was closed and fell into complete disrepair. The revival of the ancient church began in 2006 on the initiative of local residents.
Since then, new church buildings have been constructed on the church grounds, and restoration of the stone church building has begun.
Landscaping work is also underway on the skete grounds. In 2020, an orchard was planted in the skete garden, and in the summer of 2021, a lilac garden was laid out.
